Take Your Dog to Work Day is this Friday!

I’m fortunate enough to have my dogs at work with me every day, but for many dogs around the country, Friday, June 24th, is the day they rise and shine with their owners and head into the office.

Take Your Dog to Work Day began in 1999 to celebrate the human-canine bond and to promote animal adoption. Today, thousands of businesses across the country welcome their employees’ furry friends for a fun (and hopefully productive!) day.

Participating businesses can register with Pet Sitters International (who founded the event) and download a Participant Action Pack, which contains a sample “dogs at work” policy and tips for planning the event, along with other resources to ensure that the day is a success.

If you are interested in participating, please read this great article “10 Things to Know for Take Your Dog to Work Day” for some great advice for a successful Take Your Dog to Work Day!

Do your pets come to work with you? If so, we’d love to hear about it! Post a picture on our Facebook page, and tell us how your pet handles a day at the office.

I would love to be able to take the pooches to work, but I guess it’s not possible to bring them to school. I do envy everyone who can take their pooches with them.

That’s too bad, because I know Miss M would love the attention, and Mr. B would ADORE spending the whole day with E!
