2012 New Year’s Resolutions for Dogs

by Mary on January 14, 2012 · 0 comments

Dog New Year's ResolutionMy dogs, Sadie Lu and Sally Mae, didn’t do too well with their New Year’s resolutions last year. So, I’m posting them again for 2012 in hopes that they will try a little harder this year.

New Year’s resolutions for dogs:

  • I will stop trying to find the few remaining clean pieces of carpet in the house when I am about to throw up.
  • I will not eat other animals’ poop.
  • I will not lick my human’s face after eating animal poop.
  • I will not eat any more socks and then re-deposit them in the backyard after processing.
  • When in the car, I will not insist on having the window rolled down when it’s raining outside.
  • I will not bark each time I hear a door bell on TV.
  • I will not steal Mom’s underwear and dance all over the back yard with it.
  • My head does not belong in the refrigerator.
  • The garbage collector is NOT stealing our stuff.

What resolutions would you recommend to your dog?

Tomorrow night, Stonehenge Country Club will be full of animal advocates rocking to the live music of Full Plate, supporting the rescue of abandoned and neglected animals in our area, and rolling in the good times – all for a great cause.

The Richmond Animal League is the city’s oldest non-profit no-kill animal shelter, and staff, volunteers, and supporters will be out in force to celebrate and support the organization. The 2012 RAL Calendar will debut while attendees can peruse the items available for auction.

A 50/50 raffle, Heads or Tails raffle, live music, food, and drinks will continue throughout the night, culminating in a special announcement of a new RAL initiative.

Don’t miss out on the chance to party with like-minded pet lovers and bid on amazing items.

When: Friday, November 11th 7pm – 11pm
Where: Stonehenge Country Club
(1000 Farnham Drive, Richmond VA, 23236)

Tickets are still available for $50 each and can be purchased online (be sure to check the “Rock, Rescue, & Roll” option) or by calling (804) 379-0046, ext 112.
