Can you honestly look into these oh-so-slightly-crossed eyes (they are too young yet to focus) and not make room in your home for these dust bunnies?
What if it was just for a few weeks?
The Richmond SPCA is busting at the seams with adorable kittens, all needing care and looking for homes. The organization is currently looking for foster parents to help handle the influx of homeless kittens. The kittens need foster homes for about two or four weeks, just until they’ve grown big enough for their spay or neuter procedures, before being adopted into their forever homes. The RSPCA provides all materials (food, litter box, etc.) and medical care for the pets in foster care, as well as any training required by foster families.
You get: an adorable kitten (or two) to care for and play with, without any long-term commitment
Kitties get: a safe, warm home to explore and new people to enjoy
RSPCA gets: more room for another orphaned pet
Sounds like a win-win-win situation to me.

Note to Parents: fostering a kitten is a great trial-run for permanent pet ownership. Giving your child the short-term responsibility of caring for a kitten can boost your child’s confidence and give you a clear idea of whether or not your family is ready for a pet full-time.
BARK Back Richmond – have you ever fostered an animal before? Are you currently a part of the RSPCA’s Meet the Fosters program? I want to hear about it. Leave your story in the comments or send me an email.
