Most Richmond pet lovers know that Amy McCracken, Richmond Animal League’s (RAL) Executive Director, is good at her job. What you may not realize, is that she is also a social media genius! Really.
I just happen to be one of Amy’s (apparently many) Facebook friends. She got my attention this week by posting that she was breaking one of RAL’s dogs (Jolie) out of the shelter for the night.
I then watched with utter amazement as Amy masterfully employed Facebook to persuade hundreds of people (myself included) to fall in love with homeless Jolie.
Amy continued to post adorable photos and captions of Jolie’s big adventure—baiting her readers (who eagerly awaited her next post).
Her campaign was beautifully orchestrated! A social media success story! The next morning, Jolie had two adoption applications waiting for her at RAL!
