Adoptable Pet of the Month: Bunny

by Sarah on August 15, 2011 · 2 comments

Each month we spotlight an available pet from a local rescue organization; if you know of an adoptable pet who could use some exposure, please email their information to sarah@richmondpetlovers.com).

Name: Bunny
Age: ~5 months
Sex: Female/spayed
Breed: Basset Hound mix

I met Bunny at the Metro Richmond Pet Savers Adopt-a-Thon this Saturday, and despite the rain, Bunny was determined to win over every person she met. Splashing through puddles, she waddled right up to me on her Basset Hound legs and crawled into my lap to give me puppy kisses. It was a real struggle not to take her home with me!

Bunny’s first family had to move, and when Bunny couldn’t come with them, she ended up at a local shelter. Lucky for Bunny (and her future family), the awesome folks at Second Chance Dog Rescue scooped her up and now she is truly getting a second chance! Her foster mom says Bunny is great with kids and other dogs, and has been spayed and vaccinated.

If you are interested in meeting Bunny, please contact Second Chance Dog Rescue by email (lmr735@aol.com) or phone (540.752.1741) to set up an appointment. You can download the adoption application here.
